CAMERA PRESS CC  made its humble beginnings in January 1980 in a small factory off Trump Street, Selby Johannesburg

The founding members were Gavin Stapleton, better known for his photographic exploits around South Africa’s motor racing venues and Kevin Hellyer, Gavin’s accounting school mate who was probably better known for his exploits on his motorcycle on South Africa’s racing circuits.

Shortly after completing his apprenticeship as a draughtsman with the SA Railways, David, Gavin’s younger brother, also joined the partnership which converted to a Closed Corporation in 1987. The corporation has grown steadily through the nineties, always keeping abreast with the latest trends in the industry. Since Gavin’s passing in February of 2008 David and Kevin embarked on a capex upgrade in the order of R10m which will ensure the company remains competative during tough economical times.
